With Team Mission mode, where two players can play at once in cooperative gameplay, the second character will be CPU-controller partner if there is no human partner or the player is offline. While Sigma 2 has additional content not in the original Ninja Gaiden II, a large amount of content was also removed from the game, or altered, such as a drastically reduced enemy count within gameplay.
Unlike the first game, the Sixaxis motion sensing of the PlayStation 3 controller was not used for "charging" the Ninpo magic, but instead utilized as a secret way to jiggle the breasts of female characters. In comparison to the original version of Ninja Gaiden II, the game features new large-scale bosses, an online co-operative gameplay mode with three new playable characters ( Ayane, Momiji, Rachel) and the PlayStation Network Trophy support. Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate also adds four new chapters to the Story mode, offering insight into the events before the original Warriors Orochi and presenting a new threat in the form of Tamamo no Mae. The game also includes a scenario editor and built-in tools for sharing player-created missions online. As characters form strategic alliances, engage in diplomacy, and fight side-by-side in battle, a bond develops between them, allowing them to team up in special combo attacks. Gamers can also choose from the four characters added in Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, and eight new characters added for this edition. Throughout the game, players have the opportunity to choose from a roster of more than 120 characters, including Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hayabusa, Dead or Alive's Ayane, Jeanne d'Arc from Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, and Achilles from the Dynasty Warriors-inspired Legends of Troy. Emerging relationships underlie the storyline, which plays a more central role than in earlier games. History's greatest generals are called together, through time and space, to defeat the monster Youja. The third version of Warriors Orochi 3 to be released, Ultimate features characters from established Tecmo games, along with the full cast of playable warriors from Koei's previous editions of the title.
